late laundry lady

I took this whole huge bag of carpets to the laundry this morning along with walking the dog. Not quite sure what time they opened, but I found out that they open at 730. Turns out it was 7:45, and they were still not there! Now I have hauled my laundry all around twice.

Also. the cleaning associate is coming today. We hired her to fix our house cause it's a dump. Which then caused me to clean in anticipation of her arrival because I couldn't have her seeing that we live in a dump. So now it is pretty clean and the cleaning lady is still coming. I am hoping that now she will really be able to concentrate on some serious cleanery in hard-to-reach places. I hope.

Have to go back to the laundry lady now.

it's so early in the morning

i just woke up and it is 7:30. It's raining, but I walked the dog anyway. He just ate all his food and I hear the ringing his collar makes when it hits the empty bowl. I guess he is licking it clean.

The heater is turning on and making the steam hissing noise and my belly is making a grumbly noise for food. I was sure to jump out of bed this morning when the alarm went off because I have been having such trouble getting up lately. My new plan is to retrain myself to get up when the alarm goes off. Ideally then I can get up at 6am and go to the gym. For today though, I just need to get an egg + bacon sandwich and go to work.

Pomegranate

Is that how you spell that? I just ate one and I have discovered the ultimate best way to eat them: fill up a big bowl with water, submerge the pomegranate and cut open with a knife. Then extract the seeds and tear apart the skin while the fruit is submerged. This way you don't get hosed down with pomegranate water—which stains clothes permanently. SUXX. But not with my new improved method of opening the delicious pomegranate fruit. I am forced to eat pomegranates all the time now since they are selling for $1.50 at the little fruit stands on 6th avenue. As you can tell from this passage, my life is ruled by thrifty fruit shopping.

Happy National Pomegranate Month!

i've been dreamweavering all day and my little fingers are SO tired.

my dog is sleeping right next to me which really great because it is so cold in my house and he is real warm. the downside to this is that it is cold because of the open window which I cannot get up to close. why can't I close it? because the dog is laying on me.

wow. this is a blog where I am talking about how I am trapped and can only type on the computer. hah! yup. can't move an inch.
and only really one of my arms. the other is on the keyboard, but can only move the hand.
